I was surfing with this creatures for years. I knew there were in the water but I never saw one! For me it was important to see how this animal are in live how they react to people. Beqa Adventure is an organisation to protect this reef and the sharks. They already got many awards for this project. I knew about this place from my Dive-instructor Maddy from Carins. Thanks for the Info, was great.

So we went down to 30 meters for the first dive and it didn't took too long, until we were surrounded by 4-5 meter Bull- and Tigersharks. We were diving between almost 15 sharks, which were touching you sometimes. They are so big and powerful this animals, but not aggressive at all to us humans (welll not this time). The best thing was when they were passing me and I got a straight look into his deadly eye. I could feel that he was watching me.
Two dives I'll never forget. Diving unprotected with Bull- and Tigersharks (and many more).
Fotos taken by Beqa Adventures, will get my DVD sent home soon.

This were our two Shark feeders from Beqa!

They believe in the Shark-God or so.

Surf-Trip with Ryan "Iron" Wright!

After a few nights in ED's Bar and too much BountyRum, me and Ryan (who I met in Tavarua) decided to go surfing for a few days. So we took a cap to Nadi town, where we got a suecide Van (because they drive so creazy, that's why we call them so) to Singatoka "Club Masa". $30 a night, incl dinner and breakfast. It was just me, Ryan, Chris (German) and John (cook) at this joint. We checked the surf in the avo but it was absolutlely blown out. Messy and not surfable! But the german had a go and got his first record of two.... the shortest surf ever...30sec. then he came back.

Surfing Cloudbreak Tavarua

10.08.07 Day trip to Cloudbreak in Tavarua. Pick up 6 o'clock in the mornin... ohhh that's not Fiji-time! Me, Ryan (Oz, Melbourne) and Glen (NZ, Pilot) took the Viti-surf-legend boat out to Tavarua, where we got to the outer reef Cloudbreak. The Worldclass left-hander from endless summer 2. 6 foot offshore.... 4 h surfing straight, what a nice sunburn, even after two layers of suncream. After a nice surf-Day, we had a big night out at ED's Bar. Bounty-Rum....uhhh
The next day was relaxing, until I met Ryan again on the way to town. This night already started at 3 o'clock in the avo and ended for me at 8 o'clock in the morning!!! Big party with Fiji-Locals. Suecide-Tequilla rules!!!

Arriving in Fiji (Viti)

Goodbye from the Germaniens in Brisbane

Ahhhh what a sad day!!! Say goodbye to the two german bastards...Manny the Mammut and Chris die Bremse. It was good fun guys and maybe we will see us in Fiji or Melbourne, who knows. Don't forget to send me a DVD with all the Pictures and movies, MannY!

Puravida guys!

Nimbin and Surfersparadise

Short visited by Nimbin, because of its famous cheese and the time was wasting to fast and the trip went to an end. The last day we spent in Surfers Paradise and after that we returned our car in Brisbane. Everything was fine but we had to pay a washing fee. Nevermind, life goes on.

Australia Zoo

The day before we staid in Noosa. As long as we were there, we heard on the radio that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are walking around the town. WoooW. We went surfing and finally we watched the Simpson's movie. Then we had a stay in the Glass House Mountains. We got the first Warning for sleeping in public!!!!
Almost three weeks no warning and then at the last few days, BANG... we even got a flayer, how lovely! But we were just parking, tried Manny to explain to the police man! It's not working Manny, he saw us sleeping!!!!

Australia Zoo. Me Manny and Chris, ah no sorry, wrong just me and Manny. Chris staid in the car because of his broken foot!!!! Sorry for taking the piss Chris. We tried to get him an electric scooter but he didn't want it. Well everybody knows Steve was a great MAN and I would like to say how amazing his Zoo is, but to be honest, it wasn't that great. It's more built up for kids. So it got a bit boring after 20min... The most fun we had was joking around with the Kangaroos and touching and getting too close to the Kolas. Oh and Chris there was an other guy with a scooter, so you wouldn't have been the only one! Result of the day: $40 for 4h Zoo and no blood.

Fraser Island (Team A)

Next destination was Hervey Bay. It is the major access point to Fraser Island. All the people met each other in the Beaches Backpacker. What a good start, we were 1h too late (we already made friends) must be the Germans. We got into a group with 5 other people. Everything was well organised. 2 went shopping, 2 checked all equipment, camping gear and stored all the luggage , 4 got driving instructions. 1x 4WD, 2 tents, 3 slaps of beer, one bottle of Gin and 8 people ready to rock!! But not for long, because we already got stucked after a few minutes! It is said that all the sand on the east coast of Australia eventually ends up at Fraser Island, it is a gigantic sandbar created by thousands of years of long shore drift. Fraser preserves a variety of landscapes, from vast, rolling sand dunes, to dense tropical rainforests and deep mysterious freshwater lakes. What ever... The sand was pretty deep, the beer went pretty quick and it was a lot of fun driving that old 4WD around the island.
1 Day.: a few lakes, a lovely river, a good dinner and a lovely drunk night at the beach. Sorry Malte that you lost your camera again that night.
2 Day.: Driving on he beach (how boring), we saw whales, dolphins and turtles. But what we couldn't see was Liams backpack, because he lost it!
3 Day.: 3 more lakes (lakes again). Chris kicked Manny in his ass and thought he has broken his foot, but he didn't!
then on the ferry back to the main island. No food at Subways. Then we were celebrating all together our last night. Which started pretty quiet and ended up in a illegal 3 o'clock swim in the pool.

The Highlights were Lake Wabby, Champagne Pools, Indian Head and our quite good group (Liam, Ali, Emma, Vincent, Charlie, and the three of us) . Also our crazy crusades, where everybody jumped through the car, some banged their heads on the top. Oh, I have just forget to mention our chilly beach parties. Our group was that good, that Malte (German guy) swapped over into our group. Like always, we had fantastic vibrations and breezy atmosphere. We saw Whales, Dolphins, Turtles and Dingos.

Special thanks to: Team B for missing the Ferry and driving so slow!!!! Idiots!
